INTERESTING FACTS….

*A Malian side managed to beat a Ghanaian side at home for the first time in 2000. Ghanaian clubs had enjoyed a SMOOTH RUN before then dating as far back as 1967.

*Since 1990... No Ghanaian side has won on Malian soil... In 6 MP there have been 3 losses and 3 draws with just one goal scored....The last Ghanaian team to win on Malian soil was Accra Hearts of Oak in 1990....Hearts beat AS Real Bamako in the Cup winners Cup by 2-1.....

*The last Ghanaian player to score a goal on Malian soil is Charles Taylor... in 2002 when a team led by Herbert Addo lost 1-3 to Stade Malien coached by ‘Golden Boy’ Abdul Razak…….Offei Ansah had taken charge of the first leg when Hearts drew 1-1 with Stade Malien in Accra.

This was a season Hearts of Oak, would go on to win their 6^th league title in flamboyant fashion. They won 25 games, drawn 3 and lost two, translating into 78 points – the highest tally to win the Ghana League……and still the highest point ever to win the league title.

He is a former coach at VB Addu FC a professional Maldivian football club based in Malé....Previously, he coached Libya’s Al-Ittihad and led Arsenal FC soccer school in Casablanca, Morocco.... since his professional career he has achieved two (2) titles; Guadiaro in 2003, at Balonpedica Linense in 2008 and also a runner up 2013 at Mahibadhoo......
