GHANA PREMIER LEAGUE MATCHDAY-10 REPORT:
Dwarfs 1-1 Ashgold ...MINERS LEAVE CRAB'S CAVE UNSCATHED... PLUS HIGHLIGHTS
FROM OTHER CENTERS…
The spoils were
shared equally at the Robert Mensah stadium in a less eventful Ghana Premier
League match day 10 clash between Ebusua Dwarfs and Ashgold SC on Sunday.
Before the game, the
pressure was intense on AshGold coach Bashir Hayford to turn around last year's
title winner's ailing fortunes and a 24th minute Nuhu Fuseini goal did enough
to calm tensions at the Miner's corner on the bench.
Dwarfs goalkeeper
Kofi Mensah however may be partly fingered for the goal after a poor
anticipation and a wrong approach towards making a two hand save instead of
just one judging by the angle of the direction of the ball.
Despite conceding
the home side bossed majority of the first 45 minutes and their perennial looseness
upfront cost them an equaliser with Bright Luqman the main culprit.
Last season's
Division One league top scorer has struggled to replicate his goal scoring
prowess in the premier league and that has seen his side drop points despite
dominating most of their games played so far.
The second half of
the game was delayed for close to 10 minutes after fans of Ebusua Dwarfs vented
their displeasure at Referee SB Bortey and his assistants for what they allege
as bias officiating.
The game eventually commenced with Dwarfs throwing everything
attack in search at AshGold of the much needed equaliser.
After persistent
refusal to succumb to the ever growing Dwarfs' push for a goal, the Miners
eventually yielded when second half substitute Michael Insaidoo benefitted from
a defensive mishap to slot the ball calmly pass the onrushing keeper Robert
Dabuo.
1-1 it was on the
scoreboard and so it stayed as Dwarfs returned to their old self of failing to
convert their countless chances. There were also constant stoppages as AshGold
goalie Dabuo had to be treated occasionally for an injury he sustained.
The away side
barely threatened Dwarfs in terms of the attack as the signals were clear coach
Bashir Hayford and his boys were content with the result.

[Zakaria Mumuni/Yahaya Mohammed /Derek
Sasraku-ADUANA STARS]
It was encore for
Yahaya ‘Lukaku’ Mohammed as the forward scored his 6th goal in the
last 3 matches in a significant 3-2 win for Aduana Stars away at Liberty
Professionals.
The win halted
Liberty’s consistent winning streak and also broke their home unbeaten run in
the league which had been intact since a 2-1 defeat to Hasaacas on 13th
September 2015.
The win was also
Aduana Stars first outside the Brong Ahafo Region in the league since January
31st 2015 (Great Olympics 0-1 Aduana Stars).
FT: DREAMS FC 2-1

[Eric Bekoe-HASAACAS

At the Theatre of
Dreams, Dreams FC compounded the sorry story of Hasaacas on the road in the
league with a 2-1 victory.
The Giants from the
West are without an away point so far scoring once and conceding 15 goals in 5
matches.
Eric Bekoe scored
Hasaacas’ first away league goal in 232 days.
For Dreams FC, it
was their first win after suffering back to back defeats against Kotoko and
Berekum Chelsea.
INTER ALLIES 1-1
TECHIMAN CITY
[Otchere Sarpong OG…Inter

[Ebenezer Agyapong-
Techiman City]
It was ‘aluta
continua’ for Herbert Addo’s side as they failed to win yet again in a 1-1 draw
with debutants Techiman City.
The Eleven is to
One have just a win in their last 8 league matches and things definitely look
ugly as they find themselves amongst the bottom 3 teams in the league.
